Please read the following rule and guidelines before posting to the Love Kate Project pinterest boards:
It is my goal to collect as many pictures of the Duchess as
possible. Therefore, all possible photos from the event or day should be pinned,
even if they are a series of minor variances such as Kate’s hand position,
smile, or posture etc. This is a bit like playing the kids picture game where
you try to find what’s different from one picture to the next. If you can’t
tell what’s different, use the surroundings and backdrop as clues. Is someone’s
face obscured slightly more? Is the camera at a different angle? Are the shadows
different? However, be careful not to pin duplicate photos unless one is
significantly closer up than its twin. If there are multiple versions of a
photo (ie – cropped to show only Kate vs the entire photo) use the largest,
most inclusive photo available. If the photo is from far away, a close up
duplicate would be acceptable in this case. This is especially pertinent since Kate often wears the same outfit, or pieces of an outfit she has worn before, so you really must pay attention to those little details.
For each set of pins for a particular day/event, make sure
at least one has details of the event in the description section. For the rest,
delete all text from this box and insert a single space. DO NOT pin to random boards. DO NOT pin to the "helper" boards. You will have access to create boards and pin to them yourself, once you read the full rules.
Remember we are documenting history. Please be respectful of
the subject. Photos that might be considered “private” but are fundamentally
“decent” ie Kate in her bathing suit at Ibiza will be allowed, but (although I
doubt this will occur ever again) nothing indecent, ie intimate body parts
exposed, major wardrobe malfunction, etc.
Do not pin pictures of Will, Pippa, Harry, or anyone else,
unless Kate is actually in the picture with them. Do not pin pictures of her
outfit, accessories etc, or where to buy them, there are bloggers out there who
do that and is not my intent. Pictures which do not have Kate’s face clearly
visible will be subject to scrutiny, and I will decide whether to keep them or
not. (ie a shopper “randomly” sees her walk by and posts a pic of her backside…
no offense to anyone, but this is a questionable source in my opinion.)
If you pin something to the wrong board, please move it to
the correct board as soon as you notice. I’ve done this myself of course, but we
should try to avoid it for our followers.
If you need a new board, feel free to create one, however, unless it is a large-scale event with a lot of 50 photos, or something monumental, please name the board with the month and year, not the event. Be sure to follow the naming template already in place. Generally if there is one smallish event in the month with a
smattering of other pap shots, I’ll stick to the month. As Kate gets more busy
(or while archiving past months/years when she was busier before the
pregnancy), I realize this may have to change though. It's still a work in progress!
This can be painstaking and tedious. If you don't have time to finish pinning a large amount of photos, please make sure you finish it as soon as you can at a later time.
